| The
entrance consists of a door and sidelites made of beveled glass which
has been laminated on the exterior of tempered, sandblasted glass.
These exterior bevels create a shimmering appearance due to the reflective
quality of the glass. The facets of the bevels distort the images
of the passing cars and pedestrians, creating a dynamic and kinetic
scene for patrons of the club. The composition was developed from
a passage of music by the jazz saxophonist, Charlie Parker. |
