| This glass relief, located on the wall of the new vestibule, is visible from both the sanctuary as well as the vestibule. The form derives from a traditional rose window, which would typically be in the wall behind the altar. Due to building constraints, an alternative to the traditional was necessary. The relief provides the aesthetic of the rose window while conforming to space limitations. The engraved and polished lines in
the plate glass delineate the geometric organization of the rose
window and cause the work to sparkle brilliantly. Dichroic glass
shapes were applied along the perimeter to cast and reflect colors
onto the wall. |
